John already knew Nick before 110th Street came together and they had jammed together too, so he was keen to get on board when the 110th Street project started.
"The tracks are great and excellent to sit back and groove to. I come primarily from a jazz background so playing funk has always been more a Herbie Hancock/John Scofield sort of realm for me so its good to try out little bits and pieces of this straight funk," said John.
When he's not playing he's kept busy as a guitar tutor working with Craig and Chris at AC Hamilton - the band is his first opportunity to play alongside the guys.
John's also involved with his own trio, a guitar duo and a bossa nova duo so 110th Street is providing a break from the jazz and chance to just get filthy with the funk!!
